New family physician has joined Vintage View Medical
Updated Oct 12, 2021
Our clinic is happy to announce that Dr. Grace-Marie Lenton has joined us in early August, after relocating from England. She is working on building her new practice here. At this moment however, the registration and intake of new patients has been put on a temporary hold for an indeterminate duration, likely several weeks, in order to be able to process the patients who have registered so far. Please inquire at the front desk for more details and monitor this website for updates. .
NEW Online Booking System
Updated Sep 27, 2021
We have introduced, for 1 year now, an improved service, our NEW ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM for Vintage View Medical patients. While booking online with us in itself is not new, the new system is a significant improvement over the previous one, which will function in parallel for a short interval. This service can be accessed through the Book Online page of our website, however the direct link is listed below (please bookmark in your browser). https://vintageview.bookmd.ca/ We encourage you to try this service, and hopefully make it your favourite way to book, as we believe it will enhance your ability to see your physician (in person or virtually) even when phone lines are congested due to heavy demand. We have upgraded this service to help you. We look forward to hearing about your experience with our new ONLINE BOOKING service.
COVID-19 pandemic preparedness and response
Updated Aug 22, 2020
Vintage View Medical is ready to help you during this concerning COVID-19 pandemic, throughout the recommendations of social distancing and avoidance of unnecessary travel.
We have updated our greeting phone message with the current instructions.
If you have a true emergency, please call 911 and/or go to the nearest emergency department.
In accordance with the current COVID-19 Pandemic - Return to Safe Operation guidance from the Provincial Government and WorkSafe BC, the clinic is now OPEN again for regular in-person visits, with appropriate measures of screening and exceptions. The current rules applicable for in-office visits are detailed in our document COVID-19 Pandemic Response and Return to Safe Operation. While we try to keep the instructions comprehensive, we will update the document as needed, including to follow the up-to-date recommendations from the province and WorkSafe BC. The document is posted in a visible area at all the entrances to our clinic, and can be downloaded and printed from the website as well (click on the document name, above). Some of the elective visits, such as complete physicals, excisions etc, may still be postponed if possible, until a reassessment of the current situation, to reduce the physical presence within the clinic. For most situations, we are still able to offer telemedicine (phone or video call) access. As per details in the document above, a mask is needed for access to the clinic. If one doesn't bring a mask, one will be provided. However, given the large number of masks that we end up giving away, starting Monday, Aug 24, 2020, a charge of $1 will be applied for each mask.
We are offering currently a mix of in-office and teleheath (videoconference and telephone) appointments. Because of the constraints of having to limit the number the patients present in the clinic at any given time, the number of days spent each week in the clinic to provide in-office assessments has been limited for each physician. They continue to provide telehealth appointments, when not in the clinic, thus covering the usual weekly schedule. The in-clinic schedule for each physician will be posted here soon.
Upcoming Saturdays schedule:
The regular Saturday schedule has been affected by changes related to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Please check ahead to find out your doctor's availability for telehealth (i.e. phone or videconferencing) visits on those dates.
