Please note that our clinic will be closed on Thursday, Nov 11, 2021, for Remembrance Day.
New family physician has joined Vintage View Medical
Updated Oct 12, 2021
Our clinic is happy to announce that Dr. Grace-Marie Lenton has joined us in early August, after relocating from England. She is working on building her new practice here. At this moment however, the registration and intake of new patients has been put on a temporary hold for an indeterminate duration, likely several weeks, in order to be able to process the patients who have registered so far. Please inquire at the front desk for more details and monitor this website for updates.
Once the intake process is resumed, the following information will be useful: In order to shorten the time it takes the new doctor to get to know you, please consider completing the New Patient Intake Form at your convenience, but ideally even before your first visit (alternatively, you can find a regular, non-fillable PDF of this form here). Please ask all the adult members of your family who will join the clinic at the same time to complete a form for each, and consider completing one for the minor members as well. Once completed, please e-mail it to email@example.com, with the subject line "New patient", or bring it with you to your visit.
COVID-19 Vaccination Information
Updated Oct 12, 2021
Our clinic IS NOT INVOLVED in the official distribution or administration of any of the COVID-19 vaccines.
Getting vaccinated is easy and safe, through your local Health Authority and through certain pharmacies. Spread the word and help your friends and family register, book an appointment and get the vaccine, using the following link, or calling 1-833-838-2323, seven days a week, 7 am to 7 pm (PDT). Telephone for the Deaf: dial 711. Registration is open to anyone born in 2003 or earlier (18+).
People aged 30 and older (born in 1991 or earlier) may get the AstraZeneca vaccine or the Moderna vaccine (for the Northern Health Authority area only) at eligible pharmacies with vaccine supply. The participating pharmacies are listed on the BC Pharmacy Association website. The list of pharmacies will be updated regularly. Please ensure you bring your personal health number, which is found on the BC Services Card or CareCard. Appointments at eligible pharmacies cannot be booked through the Get Immunized COVID-19 vaccine appointment booking phone line/online booking tool.
People deemed clinically extremely vulnerable have been invited to have the third COVID-19 vaccine dose
You will be contacted by the provincial Get Vaccinated system about how and when to book a third dose, about 4 weeks after you receive your second dose.
If you've selected email or SMS communication, you'll be sent a link to book an appointment online
If you've asked to be contacted by phone, a call centre agent will call you to book an appointment
If you believe you meet the criteria of people who are moderately to severely immunocompromised and haven't been contacted by October 8, get in touch with your health care provider.
BC Vaccine Card You don't need a third dose to be considered fully vaccinated on your BC Vaccine Card. It is based on whether you have your first dose by September 13 and your second dose by October 24.
Effective Apr 4, 2021, Dr. Shyman relocated her practice to another clinic in West Kelowna. Her last day at our clinic was Mar 30, 2021. Efforts have been made so that all her patients be notified. A copy of the official letter sent out to her patients can be downloaded here. As her practice is still in town, all her existing and future patients are invited to make arrangements to see her at the new location. Vintage View Medical will not be able to follow on existing test results or ongoing assessments and investigations, and all the inquiries regarding these and other aspects of Dr. Shyman's practice will need to be directed to the new location.
NEW Online Booking System
Updated Dec 7, 2020
Please check our News and Updates page, as well as your e-mail for the following document announcing an improvement to our online booking option.
For the time being, only telehealth (phone or videoconferencing) visits are available for booking online. Because of the current progression of the pandemic, the requests for an in-person visit need to be screened by the physician or, at the least, by one of the office assistants, over the phone.
Updated Aug 22, 2020 As per details below, a mask is needed for access to the clinic. If one doesn't bring a mask, one will be provided. However, given the large number of masks that we end up giving away, starting Monday, Aug 24, 2020, a charge of $1 will be applied for each mask. For a copy of the document below in PDF format click HERE.
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:30 - 17:00 Saturday: 9:00 - 16:00 (except for long weekends, when we are closed)* Sunday: Closed
*The weekend availability has been affected by the changes related to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Various doctors may work at different hours, within this schedule. Please visit Our Clinic page for detailed schedule for each physician, and the News and Updates section for an up-to-date view of your doctor's schedule.
We strive to provide you with timely appointments, including on the day of the request, as much as possible. If you need an appointment today, you may choose to see the first available physician, if your own family doctor is indeed not available on short notice. Please phone or book online.
